OGA members have been encouraged to add information on their boats to the OGA Boat Register since the early 1970s. As a result a significant and unique set of records of mainly gaff rigged craft has been collected. The records include the builder and designer, dimensions, construction, history, other and photographs. Much of this is still in paper archives but is being gradually transferred to the online Register which was launched for browsing by OGA members in 2014.
At the OGA AGM in January 2015 we asked whether part or all of the Boat Register should be placed in the public domain and visible to members of the public. OGA Members agreed to make part of the Register available from April 2016.
OGA members can gain access to the Boat Register by logging in to the website. They may then update their boats' records and browse additional information about boats in the Register. Hints for editing are given in the edit screens, but if there are difficulties please contact the Boat Register Editor.
If members' boats are not visible on the Register, they should download and print the Boat Register form, fill in as much as they can and email or post to the Boat Register Editor.
