Bookings are now closed for the supper, but you should be able to get bar meals or fish and chips from town.
Below is the planned schedule of events for the weekend. As is often the case at Walton on the Naze, the tidal predictions that are published can be affected by weather and air pressure and with this being such a "creeky" location these factors sometimes cause a change of 15-30 minutes or a few inches of difference here and there. We will try our hardest to stick to this schedule as much as possible but please be prepared to launch a little earlier or later if required. Likewise, if the tide stops boats from getting out into the Walton Channel in good time then we may delay the start very slightly, you will be made aware if this is the case.
In any case, keep a watch out for the signals from the committee boat and your officer of the day, Ed Roberts.
Later on the Saturday afternoon there is an opportunity to "develop" your photography skills during a one hour masterclass with Clive Robertson. This is a basic introduction to the manual operation of a Digital SLR camera. If you have access to any camera at all, whether it be manual or not, please bring it along if you would like to learn a little more about how to get the most out of this. In relation to this, the Pin Mill Studio currently has an exhibition of Arthur Ransome's photography work on display which is a little further up the coast on the River Orwell.
We suggest you take a packed lunch of some kind on the water as the tide allows for around a lunchtime sail on both days this year. Breakfast will be available in the club.
