Some of this fine fleet of boats have already started on their way and the South West Gaffers are greatly looking forward to hosting them along this interesting coastline.
Brixham is the first port in our area where we are expecting boats to meet up from 24th and 25th July. A welcome drinks reception has been arranged on Tuesday 25th on Vigilance, a Brixham Sailing Trawler, with a meal at the nearby Yacht Club.
The next day it's onward to Plymouth where we have organised the main events and boats are expected by Friday 28th. A reception will be held that evening in the Mountbatten Sailing Centre, close by, where we will tell you what is happening over a meal and drinks.
A Parade of Sail is planned for Saturday passed the famous Citadel and Hoe and then onto to explore the area, rivers etc then back for a pontoon party and an evening of festivities. On Sunday we have planned racing in Plymouth Sound, South West style, then back to the Sailing Centre for prizegiving, a meal, drinks and good music by a local group to give you a proper send off party before you sail away in the morn.
If you still wish to join find contact details and registration form here. To those South West Gaffers who haven't yet signed up and those that may be only able to get to either Brixham or Plymouth, please come along and help host our visitors. Do tell the secretary David Bewick or me, John Gallagher beforehand especially if you would like food.
