Photos from 2022 AGM at Newcastle

14 - 16 January 2022

For those not attending the Saturday morning Association Committee Meeting there was an opportunity to visit the Tall Ship boatyard at Blyth (slides 1-4).

The 10th Avenue band provided a vibrant after-dinner entertainment on Saturday evening. They never seemed to run out of puff and were just brilliant. Lots of people were up dancing.(5).

The model of the French pilot cutter Jolie Brise makes a remarkable trophy (6), it was made by the Rev. David Mumford and donated in 2013. It is awarded to an OGA Member who has made a significant contribution to the gaff-rig.

There was some wonderful entertainment on Sunday morning - the sword dancers (7) were quite phenomenal as were a trio of male singers, a violinist (8), another trio of young lady clog dancers (9), two Northumberland pipers (10), and a lady soloist accompanying herself with a squeeze box. Brilliant Geordie music-making and dancing (11).

...and (12-16) some photos taken around the venue.
