Off with a bang!
Our sailing season started with big bang. No, not a gaff crashing onto a deck due to a failed block but a demonstration of lifebelt safety by Stewart of Force 4 Cardiff. As you might be able to see, our dummy was BC Secretary Andrew Kelland who stoically prepared for a rescue and only slightly flinched when the gas cylinder exploded!
Glynis hand crafted us lovely table decorations and we sampled the 'new' catering team's buffet offering at Cardiff Bay Yacht Club. A particular warm welcome to new members, 2 of whom joined in the fleet on Friday to see Martin Pound on his way - clockwise - to the Wash!
