Five boats started from Cardiff Bay at 06:30 BST on June 30 2021 – and five returned (!) to CB at 17:15 the following day.

Daydream (Golant Ketch - Keith McIlwain),  Blue Jack (Cornish Shrimper - Viv Head), and Mora (Norfolk Gypsy - Rob Jarman) were sailed single-handed, with Charlie (Oystercatcher 20 - David Botterill and Charlie Harris) and Hetty Pegler (Cornish Crabber 24 Mk 1 - Andrew and James Kelland) double-handed.

There will be a full report in Severn Tidings of what all attending thought was a splendid event. The return trip proved particularly memorable as it took place in force 5 / 6 winds blowing up the channel against the ebb tide. Thankfully all boats and crew handled the conditions admirably!
