Dublin Bay Zoom Talk - Andrew Doherty on A Historical Sketch of Waterford Harbour

23rd March 2023

(Note, everyone - not just OGA members - is welcome to attend this Zoom talk).

DBOGA invites you to join our next Zoom session A Historical Sketch of Waterford Harbour, which will be given by Andrew Doherty on Thursday 30th March at 20.00hrs.

Andrew Doherty is an author and Maritime Historian from Cheekpoint in Waterford. He is descended from generations who have lived and fished in the Waterford Estuary and he is steeped in the lore, traditions and history of the area. He is the author of several books on these subjects, including “Waterford Harbour Tides and Tales” and “Before the Tide Went Out”, all of which deal with many and varied aspects of life along the Estuary, from Hook Head and Dunmore East northwards. Andrew will be sharing many of these most interesting stories with us on the night.

These talks are run by the DBOGA to help raise funds for Howth RNLI: Please donate €5/£5 to the RNLI by clicking  here (or using the QR code on the right). Thank you.
