Seán Walsh Zoom Session

2nd November 2021

(Note, everyone - not just OGA members - is welcome to attend this Zoom talk).

DBOGA invites you to join our next Zoom session on The Operation, Maintenance and Offshore Repairs of Inboard Marine Diesel Engines, which will be given by Seán Walsh on Thursday 4th November at 20.00hrs.

As many of us are laying up our boats for the winter, experienced gaff-rigged sailor and diesel engine specialist Séan Walsh will talk to DBOGA on the topic of the operation and maintenance of inboard diesel engines as well as the type of repairs that a sailor can undertake when offshore and what tools and spare parts to keep aboard.

Séan’s talk will also consider the care and maintenance of sea-cocks and other engine related ancillary equipment.

Séan will cover what you need to know about operating your diesel engine and the maintenance that your engine needs. He will explain that offshore repairs on your diesel engine requires ashore preparation plus adequate tools and spares on board. Finally Séan will address the question of what you need to carry aboard for Blue Water sailing engine repairs.
