The DBOGA Flotsam & Jetsam WhatsApp community of Simple Sailors have just completed their voyage through James Joyce’s Dubliners.

Having knocked off both Ulysses and Dubliners this intrepid group have decided to give another canon of modernism a lash: T. S. Eliot’s The Waste Land. After Eliot they will look at some of Richard Murphy’s poetry. As you know Murphy owned a Galway hooker and sailed her out of Inishbofin. Keeping with the seafaring theme the group will then work through some of Joseph Conrad’s short stories and novels.
