Local Regatta - Stour Sailing Club 1st - 2nd August
We thought we'd resurrect our custom of attending regattas in the area, especially if the local club is kind enough to give us a class of our own. Our first visit this year will be to Stour Sailing Club at Manningtree on August 1st and 2nd. For obvious reasons (looking at the photo), we're gearing this towards Class 5, our small boat section. Saturday will feature a pursuit race, Sunday a more standard handicap race. In fact we will also be focussing a bit more on our Points Series in 2026 so your result on Sunday's race at the regatta will count towards the Class 5 Points Series, awarded at the East Coast Area AGM in November.
If you know Manningtree, you may be wondering where you can put your trailer while you're out on the water. Luckily, Pete and Sarah live just up the hill in Mistley and will clear the space in front of their house for storing OGA trailers during the regatta.
