After the East Coast AGM it was decided that the area would build two OGA dinghies. The plan is to build one in Suffolk (Barham Green) and one in Essex (Mistley).  The two ply kits are being cut now and should be ready for collection very soon. The aim is to get both boats ready for sailing at the latter end of the season. 

Some members at the AGM expressed a wish to join in with the building process. It would be great if we could get as many members involved as possible whatever their skill level. To enable the building of the dinghies, sessions will take place at weekends and during the week and possibly evenings as building progresses.  It is impossible to put a detailed time scale / plan together without knowing how many people are likely to be involved and knowing the pace of work.

If you would like to be involved for some or part of the building exercise please let us know ASAP so we can get planning.  No previous boat building skills necessary. Just bring an overall and good strong footwear.
