Schedule of Events
Outline timetable for party port weekend 21-24 July 23.
RNYC refers to the Royal Northumberland Yacht Club, House Yacht Tyne, a permanently moored light ship, LV50. BTS is the Blyth Tall Ship project moored at the Commissioner’s Quay.
Friday 21 July 23
Boats arriving
18.00 Welcome reception with glass of bubbly for crews and NEOGA members on board RNYC with invited guests.
19.00 – 23.00 BBQ and music at BTS £20pp for those who have reserved places (organised by Friends Of BTS) booking required. Bring your own bottle.
19.00 Others to eat on board RNYC £9 booking required or at local eateries.
Saturday 22 July 23
08.30 – 09.30 Breakfast buns available £4.50 with tea and coffee provided by RNYC.
Morning - shopping/laundry visits/visits to chandlers etc transport provided by NEOGA members.
BTS open day for self-guided visits from 10.00 - 16.30
North East Maritime Trust boat trips, bring your own sailing gear/life jackets (£15 to cover insurance) weather dependent and on an ad hoc basis throughout the day.
11.00 guided tour and talk on RNYC light vessel LV50, (donations) booking required
11.00 self-guided visits to Blyth Battery WWII (coastal defence museum), Seaton Delaval Hall National Trust site, transport may be provided by NEOGA members if available.
12.00 -15.00 Lunch available on RNYC/onboard own boats/local eateries.
14.00 Guided tour of the tall ship Williams II booking required maximum 15.
15.00 Guided tour of the BTS workshops booking required maximum 15
18.00 - 19.00 Entertainment on board RNYC, JIB northeast shanty singers booking required
19.00 – two course meal on board RNYC £13.50pp booking required. Others to make their own arrangements.
