Scotland

The coastline of Scotland is probably the longest of any OGA Area. We have members in the Clyde, and the Forth, on the West Coast, in the Hebrides and in Shetland.

We tend to have two shore-based events in the Clyde, an AGM in the autumn and a spring gathering. These are generally accessible by boat for those able to bring them.

We are trying to have more on-the-water events, as well as supporting traditional boat festivals organised by local communities, such as the Scottish Traditional Boat Festival in Portsoy and Luggerfest in Ullapool. In 2023 as part of OGA 60, we hosted events in Oban and Dundee and in 2025 we offered a similar event in Oban.

Some of our members live outside Scotland but keep their boats here, or sail here regularly for the season.

You will be assured of a warm welcome, however you want to engage with our gorgeous sailing ground.
