Ullapool’s traditional Maritime Festival is coming back

Lugger Fest is coming back to Shore Quay, Shore Street and Lochbroom this May.  Local and visiting traditional boats (luggers) will return to the harbour to celebrate, sail and race.  Ashore there will be music, food, talks and dancing, maritime activities, teas and cakes.

Lugger Fest is produced by West Coast Boats, which is collaboration between the two Boat Yards : Johnson and Loftus Boat Builders – Lochbroom and Isle Ewe Boats – Loch Ewe, and the festival is generously supported by the Ullapool Harbour Trust . There will be tents set on Shore Quay – space for talks, demonstrations, food and music.

There will be a parade of sail, racing and activities on the water through the days by the local and visiting traditional boats and a chance for visitors to get afloat also.
