Race or rally - it's up to you.

Come and meet friends for a relaxing weekend in Yarmouth to round off the rather truncated 2020 Solent Gaffers season. If you like racing, you will enjoy taking part in the Royal Solent Yacht Club's (RSYC) "Centenary Chase". This is a pursuit race, where each boat gets its own start time, based on handicap etc.  and first over the line wins (in 2018, the first three were gaffers). The event gives you a chance to race with bermudan dayboats and yachts, such as XODs and Folkboats. But, if you just want to chill, that's fine too.

On Saturday evening, there will be a meal at the Royal Solent. We will have our own room and appropriate social distancing will be arranged, but you will need to wear face masks on entry to the club. Drinks will be brought to your table. Check out the RSYC website for more details.

Please click HERE to register for the race and to book meals in advance. You will need to make your own berthing arrangements with Yarmouth Harbour. They have a limited number of berths that can be booked in advance; the majority are available on a ‘first come, first served’ basis. Book early through  Yarmouth Harbour website. Or just turn up; we have never known the harbour to be full when members turned up "on spec" to this event.
