Many gaffers enjoy racing their boats. We welcome all experience levels, whether you have never raced before, or have spent your life on the start line.

We are continuing with recent changes to make our racing fairer and more fun for everyone. Our goal is to encourage everyone to join in, whatever your level of experience.

We know some people find racing intimidating, but most of our fleets are small, with simple courses around the Solent, even if we’re part of larger events. Everyone really is welcome. The rules are almost certainly simpler than you think and even the smarter Cowes yacht clubs are more welcoming than you may expect.

Our full event programme is available here. In addition to our own races, there are an ever increasing number of opportunities for those that want to race, or just join in with other classic yachts. It is important that we support these events, or they will fade away again.

Within the overall programme, we run our Summer Race Series to encourage regular turnout. You could be our next Commodore!
