Come and join us on the water, or ashore. Some of the events below are organised by us, others are not, but all welcome gaffers.
Our focus is on sociable, family friendly, gatherings. Some events include racing, all involve sitting around talking about boats.

Summer Series
The Solent Gaffers Summer Race Series is made up of a number of indivudal events, organised by us and others. It reflects the increasing numbers of classic sailing regattas in our area, that value gaffer participation....
Cowes Spring Classics 29th to 31st May 2026
This is not an OGA organised event, but we wanted to flag it as it has classes for gaffers and is a lovely event to take part in or watch....
Cowes Classics Regatta 4th to 8th June 2026

2023 Racing Round-up
We had another successful year’s racing around the Solent with over 30 boats participating, ranging from 16ft ‘Miss Ningi' to 57ft 'Kelpie’!
The season started with Cowes Spring Classics in May, where 8 gaffers raced in light winds and sunshine....
