Lets get the party started
Solent Sailing on the OGA60 Round Britain cruise!
The OGA60 Cowes Party Port was a great success with both sunny skies and a little English rain - we were treated to a spontaneous group dinner at Island Sailing Club on Friday night and then welcomed to Cowes Corinthian Yacht Club to watch the Coronation, whilst also going on outings on Jolie Brise and then our evening party with brilliant Rock ‘n’ Roll music from The 5 Fifty Fives - fair winds to those continuing on to Plymouth where the South West Gaffers will be hosting a party port (10th-11th May)!
During the dinner we were honoured to welcome Christian, a representative from the St. Malo OGA, who gifted the OGA President, Mike Beckett, with an authentic Breton flag and a proposition to have an OGA event in St. Malo in 2025!
Not all the boats stopped at Cowes, with Mutual Friend and Puffin Bach takikng advantage of favourable winds to push on to Poole and Brixham. Unfortunatly both have had to put plans to sail further on hold for the moment due to crewing and engine problems
