Revelling in Neyland
The Bristol Channel’s RBC
All the planning meetings led to Milford Haven in glorious sunshine for a splendid weekend, hosted by Neyland Yacht Haven at Brunel Quay. Eighteen gaffers arrived and it was fitting that the largest, the pilot cutter Letty, and one of the smallest, the Cornish Shrimper Charlotte Elizabeth, were built here in the Bristol Channel, albeit around a century apart.
The two evening meals were at different venues, each with a band providing unique brands of music. Strong wind forecasts for the Monday departure saw many vessels slipping away early- so no parade of sail sadly. Otherwise it was a stellar weekend; and the home-grown hosting team had a great time too!
