Joint Sequence

The two panels are routered and then clamped down to a flat surface. Use a clean piece of polythene or similar to make sure the panels do not bond to the surface. Wet the two edges of the plywood with epoxy and push them together as they are clamped down. At this stage check the alignment of the panels along the length.

Fill the routered slot with layers of 50mm glass tape until the tape is just below the surface, typically 5 or 6 layers.

Epoxy Filler (Low density filler) fills the remaining space.

Panel sanded smooth on the outside face.
