The centreline and chines are bonded using a mix of epoxy and filler, reinforced with glass tape.

Use low density filler and epoxy mix to fill between the cable ties.

Once the seams have been filled betwen the ties remove them and fill the remaining gaps in the chines and centreline.

At the bow, because of the extra load and the small gap between the joint, the filler will not have enough strength to prevent the joint opening up. Put a single layer of glass tape between the joints to reinforce the joint.

Use a disk sander to remove excess filler and smooth the joints ready for the taping.

Two layers of glass tape are then epoxied over all seams. Peel Ply is put on as a final layer to consolidate the tape and give a good surface for the filler.

Remove the peel ply once the epoxy has cured and sand any high spots ready for the filler.  Use low density filler to fill the chine and along the centreline. Use a plastic spreader to apply by running the spreader along the face of the panel.
