Side Tanks
The side tanks and small bulkheads need to be fitted next. The tank sides are divided into three sections. The centre section of each is sealed to give bouyancy and the fore and aft sections have cutouts to form storage. The small bulkhead at the aft end has an inspection hatch to allow the tank to be accessed if needed.
Aperture reinforcement
The apertures in the side tanks have doubling pieces glued on the inside to reinforce the cutout.
These will bend easily to the tank side curve and only need to be held in position with pegs during the glueing process. The doublers should be rounded on the inside with a 4mm rounding over cutter.
