South West Gaffers is the South West Area of the OGA and organises events both on and off the water for those Members who live or cruise in the South West of England.
To join in our events you need to be a member of the OGA, so browse around to find out more. You can even sign-up online!
Formerly the Devon and Cornwall Area, but from 1 April 2013, renamed as the South West Area, our main event is our Annual Race held each year in Plymouth. We have a Fitting out Lunch in March/April and a Laying up Lunch the first weekend in November, both usually held in the Plymouth area.
During the winter months we arrange informal get-togethers in pubs across Devon and there is often a trip to a traditional boatyard such as Stirling & Son. Will and Sara Stirling will be familiar to readers of Classic Boat.
